The festival of Goashtami was celebrated with great rituals and devotion in Indiatoday. A special puja and havan were organized at the Jyotipuram Gaushala, in Resai of Jammu and Kashmir attracting a large number of devotees.

During the event, cows were specially decorated with garlands of flowers, and devotees performed rituals to worship them. The celebrations included a havan and a cow-viewing ceremony, during which participants shared messages emphasizing righteousness, compassion, and environmental protection.

Devotees received blessings by offering jaggery and fodder to the cows. Organizers highlighted the significance of cow service and animal protection. They explained that Goashtami symbolizes devotion, service, and respect for the cow, a tradition deeply rooted in Indian culture.
