South Africa have announced a 15-member squad for the Test series against India, which is set to start on November 14 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Batter Temba Bavuma returns to lead the Proteas after recovering from a calf strain that caused him to miss the WTC title-defence series against Pakistan.

Bavuma will join South Africa A to play India A in Bengaluru before joining the main squad.

His inclusion is the only change among batters in the squad that toured Pakistan for a 1-1 draw.

The Proteas have included three frontline spinners in the squad, with Keshav Maharaj leading the attack.

The squad features Simon Harmer and Senuran Muthusamy, who was the player of the series against Pakistan.

The pace attack consists of superstar pacer Kagiso Rabada, backed by young rising stars Corbin Bosch and Marco Jansen.

After the first Kolkata Test, the second Test will take place in Guwahati from November 22.

Full Team: Temba Bavuma (c), Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, Kyle Verreynne, Dewald Brevis, Zubayr Hamza, Tony de Zorzi, Tristan Stubbs, Corbin Bosch, Wiaan Mulder, Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Senuran Muthusamy, Simon Harmer
