Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah informed the Assembly that Gurez Valley, known for its breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage, has been adjudged the “Best Off-Beat Destination in India (Gold).”
He said the recognition underscores Gurez’s immense tourism potential and its growing popularity as one of the country’s most sought-after off-beat travel destinations.
Abdullah noted that the government remains committed to promoting sustainable tourism in the region while preserving its unique natural and cultural identity.
