BSF recovers over 5.3 kg of suspected Heroin from R.S. Pura, Jammu

Border Security Force (BSF) in a major anti-smuggling operation, recovered over 5.3 kg of suspected Heroin from the depth area of R.S. Pura, Jammu, during morning hours on 27 October 2025.

Acting on precise intelligence input, BSF troops foiled yet another attempt by Pakistan-based smugglers to push narcotics into Indian territory.

On 26 October 2025, based on specific information received from BSF Intelligence, a special operation was planned, and a depth Naka/special ambush was laid in the depth area of R.S. Pura, District Jammu.

During a search operation launched in the morning hours of 27 October 2025 near Village Bidipur, R.S. Pura, Jammu, alert BSF personnel recovered two yellow-coloured packets (containing 10 small packets wrapped within them) weighing approximately 5.3 kg.

Suspected contraband was recovered from farmland near Village Bidipur, R.S. Pura, Jammu. The substance is suspected to be Heroin, appears to have been drone-dropped from across the border.

A thorough search of the area is ongoing. Police has been called to take further necessary action.
