President Murmu inaugurates the centenary celebrations of Saint Theresa’s College, Ernakulam

President Droupadi Murmu has emphasized that active participation of women is necessary to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. She said, a society led by women leaders would be more humane and effective.

The President inaugurated the centenary celebrations of Saint Theresa’s College, Ernakulam, Kerala today. While addressing the gathering, the President underlined that the active participation of women is necessary for the country to leverage its demographic dividend.

The President remembered the contribution of women of Kerala who had set their examples of excellence in nation building and socio economic reforms.

She lauded the efforts of the institution in educating and empowering women for the past several decades. The President launched centenary logo of the college at the inaugural event.

She said that the alumnae of this college have been playing positive role by contributing to the growth and development of the country.

Highlighting the role of women in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat, the President said that women from different socio-economic segments have been driving India’s progress.
