An innovative initiative to produce eco-friendly cow dung diyas is gaining remarkable momentum ahead of Diwali, promoting the spirit of sustainable living, women empowerment, and self-reliance.

Women associated with the project are skillfully crafting these natural diyas, seamlessly blending traditional artistry with environmental consciousness. The initiative not only supports livelihood generation for rural women but also encourages households to celebrate a cleaner and greener festival.

The handmade diyas, made entirely from cow dung, have become increasingly popular among the public for their eco-friendly nature and cultural significance. They embody the message of pollution-free celebrations and align with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, promoting locally made, sustainable products during the festive season.

A local woman says, “We feel proud to contribute to both the environment and our families’ income. These diyas symbolize purity, tradition, and our shared responsibility toward nature.”
