Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today inaugurated the three-day 16th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) in New Delhi. The exhibition is Asia’s largest and the world’s second-largest railway and transport event, spreading over 40,000 square meters.
More than 450 exhibitors and over 20,000 business visitors are participating in the exhibition. It showcases future-ready infrastructure, advanced technologies, and international partnerships redefining the future of mobility.
Speaking at the event, Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the railways are currently manufacturing several equipment, recently exported to South Africa. He also highlighted a planned investment of over Rs 2 lakh crore in the railways to sustain the pace of development.
