The 20th edition of the Delhi Half Marathon kicked off from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium today.
Thousands of runners, including elite athletes and amateurs, took to the streets of Delhi. The route passed through iconic landmarks like India Gate and Major Dhyanchand stadium. With cheers, energy, and determination all around, Delhi truly ran together for a cause.
Kenya’s powerhouse Alex Matata won gold in the International Elite Men’s category (21.097km) whereas in the Elite Women’s category (21.097km), Lilian Kasait Rengeruk won gold.
Matata clocked 59 mintes 50 seconds and Rengeruk clocked 01 hours 07 minutes 20 seconds.
The 2025 edition witnessed over 40 thousand runners from across the world coming together to soak in the vibrant colours of Delhi and celebrate the spirit of running.
