IMD Issues Orange Alert for Heavy Rainfall in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Other States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan today.

According to IMD, parts of the Northeastern states, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and West Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall during the next two to three days.

Meanwhile, parts of  Bihar, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, Jharkhand, Kerala, Mahe, Odisha, Telangana, and West Bengal can also experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds today.
