How CISF is Preparing to Transform Training for Modern Challenges

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has unveiled major upgradation in its training syllabus and standards to transform itself into a battle-hardy, tech-savvy, and future-ready force. The reforms were finalized during the Annual Training Conference – 2025, held at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA), Hyderabad, under the chairmanship of CISF Director General  Rajwinder Singh Bhatti.

The two-day conference brought together senior officers from across the country and set out a bold roadmap to raise CISF’s operational preparedness to the highest levels among Central Armed Police Forces.

Speaking on the reforms, DG Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, said: “These will make CISF battle-ready in the field, tech-driven in operations, and a multi-skilled future-ready Force. At the same time, our training institutions will rise to world-class accreditation standards.”

“They will not just produce excellent CISF personnel but also emerge as beacons of excellence in India’s national capacity-building landscape”, he said.

Key Highlights of the reform include:

# NSG-level physical and combat training standards across all ranks

# Inclusion of 21 km half-marathons in all basic training courses

# Training integrated with 20+ advanced technologies including drones, AI & cyber tools

# Establishment of Digital Integrated Command & Control Centres at all training institutes

# All recruits certified as First Responders in fire, disaster, and medical emergencies

# Airport screener certification included in basic training for immediate deployment

# Training capacity increased by 50% to 15,000 recruits annually; 3 new Recruit Training Centres approved

# Creation of 2,000-member instructor pool with 10% seats reserved for women

# Launch of Central Instructor Management System (CIMS) for transparent selection

# Centres of Excellence set up for Sports at Nuh, Aviation Security, and Fire Services, Bhilai

# ₹450 crore allocated under Modernisation Plan–V for tech and infra upgrades.

CISF will have Academic partnerships with JNU, IGNOU, Osmania, Madras University for skill certification.
