World Maritime Day 2025, organized by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways on Friday under the theme “Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity.”
The event was graced by Sameer Kumar Khare, Chairperson, National Shipping Board, as Chief Guest, along with Sushil Mansingh Khopde, Additional Director General of Shipping, and Capt. Som Raj, Personnel & Admin, Shipping Corporation of India.
Video messages from Shri Shantanu Thakur,Minister of State for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, as well as insights from Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General, IMO, added a global perspective to the celebrations.
