The Home Ministry, Government of India has sought report on the stampede occured during a public rally at Karur, Tamilnadu today by TVK Chief Vijay.
As per the report at least 31 people were killed and 58 others injured during today’s rally in the evening by actor and TVK chief Vijay.
Vice President of India CP Radhakrishnan in his condolence message shared on X:
“The tragic incident at the public gathering in Karur, Tamil Nadu, has caused unspeakable pain. I extend my deepest condolences to the grieving parents who have lost their loved ones, to their relatives, and to the people of Tamil Nadu in this moment of inconsolable sorrow. I pray to the Almighty for the speedy and complete recovery of those injured and receiving treatment in hospitals.”

According to the report by ANI, people were fainted due to the overcrowded. The local administration has taken the injured people to the nearby hospitals.
Following the CM of Tamilnadu Stalin’s instruction, DMK leader Senthil Balaji reached the hospital to assess the situation and help the injured people.
On Sunday CM Stalin will reach at Karur. After the incident Stalin ordered for inquiry to the District Collector, SP. He also order to send more doctors immediately to the nearby hospitals for treatment of the Injured people.
Meanwhile Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi shared the condolence message on social media X:
