The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been formally inducted as the aviation security agency for Noida International Airport (NIA), Jewar, Uttar Pradesh .This is the 70th airport in India under CISF protection.
Initially, 1,047 CISF personnel will manage security tasks including perimeter control, passenger and baggage screening, terminal safety, and quick response teams.
The ceremony of deployment was attended by senior officials from the Government of Uttar Pradesh, CISF, and Noida International Airport, including Praveer Ranjan, Special DG Airports, CISF, Senthil Avoodai Krishna R, IG/Airport Sector, Rakesh Kumar Singh, CEO NIAL and other dignitaries.
CISF officials committed to implementing globally benchmarked security measures, ensuring a safe and seamless passenger experience. Noida International Airport is set to become a world-class aviation hub for the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR).
CISF is a central armed force of the Union of India came to existence under an Act of Parliament, “The Central Industrial Security Force Act, 1968 (50 of 1968)”.
Established in 1969 with 3,129 security personnel, the strength of CISF has increased to nearly 1.8 lakhs.
In May last year more than 3300 CISF securities had been deputed in place of CRPF in Parliament House.
