India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has concluded a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates on an optimistic note signalling a big leap ahead for the India-UAE partnership.

Calling the visit “very constructive,” Minister Goyal said both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deeper engagement in trade, investment, energy security, and cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and genomics.

The minister co-chaired the 13th India-UAE High-Level Joint Task Force on Investments and met senior UAE leaders, including National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed. Discussions ranged from infrastructure to green energy and resilient supply chains under the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor framework.

Among key projects reviewed was  ‘Bharat Mart’, a 2.7 million square-foot facility coming up in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone, with over 9,000 companies already showing interest. Projects in food processing, logistics, and pharmaceuticals were also in focus.

Accompanied by 75 Indian business leaders, the Commerce Minister stressed that structural reforms and ease of doing business under the Modi government have unlocked vast opportunities. The UAE, he said, is emerging as a top partner in both traditional industries and sunrise sectors startups, fintech, and renewable energy.
