Neeraj Chopra aims Third Medal in today’s Javelin Final, Arshad Nadeem also qualifies

India’s double olympics medalist Neeraj Chopra has qualified for the final of the Javelin Throw event at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo on Wednesday.

The defending champion secured his place in the final with an impressive throw of 84.85 metres on his very first attempt, comfortably surpassing the automatic qualification mark of 84.50 metres.

Chopra will compete to Anderson Peters of Greneda, Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan, Julian Weber of Germany who are in the final also.

The Indian star, will now aim for his third medal at the Championships when the final takes place on Thursday.

Joining Chopra in the final is fellow Indian athlete Sachin Yadav, who clinched the 10th and final qualifying spot with a strong 83.67-metre throw.
