The Vaishno Devi Yatra atop Trikuta Hill in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, has resumed today after remaining suspended for 22 consecutive days due to bad weather conditions and frequent landslides along the route. Pilgrims have started arriving in large numbers at Katra, the base camp of the holy Pilgrimage.

The authorities have ensured necessary safety measures and restoration of the track to facilitate the smooth movement of pilgrims.

The Yatra was stopped on August 26 after a massive landslide on the yatra route due to heavy rains at Adhkuwari, which claimed multiple lives.
