The two-day ‘National Conference on Agriculture – Rabi Campaign 2025’ concluded on Tuesday in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Agriculture Ministers and senior officials from various States participated in the conference and held in-depth deliberations across multiple sessions on strategies to advance agricultural development.
In his concluding remarks, Chouhan categorically stated that the sale of spurious or substandard fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides would not be permitted under any circumstances.
He further informed that stringent laws are being prepared to deal with those engaged in such malpractices.
Emphasizing the responsibility of governments to protect farmers from such exploitation, he sought active cooperation from all States in this endeavour.
