IMD Pedicts Heavy Rain at Isolated Places in Eastern and Northeastern States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today.

Parts of Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh are also expected to receive light to moderate rainfall throughout the day.

The Weather department further predicted thunderstorms and lightning in parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands today.

Weather conditions over the Andaman and Nicobar region are expected to remain the same till the 22nd of this month. According to the Met Department, strong surface winds are likely to prevail today at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh.
