The 66th Foundation Day of Doordarshan was celebrated at Akashvani Bhawan in New Delhin on Monday.
On the occasion Prasar Bharati CEO Gaurav Dwivedi said that Doordarshan has stood the test of time due to its emotional connect with the people.
Dwivedi said that the audience do not just consume content but enjoys an emotional connection with its programming.
He added that Doordarshan has been a synonym for television in India which is its biggest strength. Dwivedi underlined that the public broadcaster has consistently provided a wide array of programming from news to sports, and from Krishi Darshan to international documentaries.
The Prasar Bharati CEO expressed optimism as Doordarshan gears up for the future.
