Hong Kong Open: Lakshya Sen beats Ayush Shetty to advance to the SF

Lakshya Sen beat Ayush Shetty 21-16, 17-21,21-13, in the quterfinal of the LI-NING Hong Kong Open and advanced to the Semi-final today.

Lakshya Sen took 1 hr 6minutes to beat his compatriot in the tense match. Both players shown aggression to come over each other.

Played on court 3 Sen started well to win the first game 21-16. But Shetty came back well all guns blazing winning the second game.

After both the players won a game each, the match stretched for the final game. sometimes Shetty on the upperhand leading the game, sometimes Sen.

But at the end Sen who pocketed the match by a greater margin. In the Pre-quarter Sen had beaten H S Prannoy.

Earlier in the day India Men’s double team of Satwisiaraj Rankareddy and Chirag Shetty beat Junaidi Arif and Roy King YAP of Malaysia by 21-14,20-22, 21-16 and booked the Semi-final
