PM Congratulates Indian Men’s Hockey Team on Winning Asia Cup

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the Indian Men’s Hockey Team for their splendid win in the Asia Cup 2025 held in Rajgir, Bihar.

In a social media ‘X’ post, Modi said that this win is even more special because they have defeated the defending champions, South Korea.

The Prime Minister said that this is a proud moment for Indian hockey and Indian sports.

He also prayed for the country’s players to continue to scale even greater heights and bring more glory to the nation.

On Sunday in the Asia Cup final India defeated South Korea 4-1 at Rajgir Sports Complex Stadium, Bihar .

For India Dilpreet scored two goals. Till half time India was leading 2-0. India played magnificently to win the cup and automatically qualified for the World Cup next year in Belgium and Netherlands.

Malayasia beat China 4-3 to secure the third place and Japan beat Bangladesh 6-1 to get fifth place.
