In a joint operation, the Kathua District Administration and Indian Army delivered essential supplies to Chilla village, which was cut off due to flash floods and landslides.

Over 15 stranded families received dry ration, cooking oil, and other essentials via heavy-load drones. The operation ensured timely aid despite damaged access routes.

Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma said relief efforts are being intensified across affected areas, including medical aid, drinking water, and restoration of services.

He thanked the Army for its support and confirmed similar operations will be conducted in other isolated areas if needed.
