Carlos Alcarazof beat Jannik Sinner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 to win the US Open Championship on Sunday. The spaniard took 2 hours and 42 minutes.

Alcaraz played superbly to hit the ball and not given so many chances to the Italian. On course Alcaraz fired 10 aces compared to only two aces by Sinner.

In the whole US championship Alcaraz dropped his service games only thrice and faced only 10 brekpoints in the whole tournament which is remarkable.

Sinner was not in the best of form, seen doing a lot of unforced errors. He had 4 double faluts in the final. The defending champion was the winner of the final in the Wimbledon 2025 beating the same opponent.

Last eight Grand Slams are shared by both Sinner and Alcaraz. Now Sinner and Alcaraz have 6 grand slams each in their basket

The spaniard became the second youngest player to win 6 grand slams next to Bjorn Borg.
