Bharat Darshan: BSF’s initiation for the youth to explore India’s rich heritage

Nityanand Rai, Minister of State (Home), Government of India interacted with a group of 100 students (49 boys & 51 girls) from Mizoram, accompanied by their school teachers, at BSF Officers’ Institute, today. Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Director General, BSF and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

MoS Rai in his address thanked BSF for the initiatives which is organized for a long time. He also urged the students to share the experience of their tour with their friends and families.

The students are on a six-day ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour to Delhi. During the event the students perform cultural programmes like Mizo dance with the folk music of the region.

On Wednesday the Governor of Mizoram Gen. Vijay Kumar Singh flagged off the tour from Raj Bhavan, Aizawl. The programme is organized by Border Security Force (BSF).

The delegation includes the students and teachers of 8 schools from districts of Aizawl, Lunglei, Mamit, and Saitual.

On course of the tour they are visiting Landmark monuments, museums, Government establishments, historical sites and cultural institutions.

The initiative ‘Bharat Darshan Tour’, aims to foster national integration, cultural awareness and provide an opportunity for the youth to explore India’s rich heritage.
