CJI B. R. Gavai Visits Nepal for Judicial Dialogue

CJI's First official visit to Nepal since assuming office

Chief Justice of India Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai is in Kathmandu will participate in the Nepal-India Judicial Dialogue scheduled for Friday in Kathmandu and hold bilateral discussions with Nepal’s Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut.

As part of the cultural engagements, CJI Gavai will also visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, as well as UNESCO World Heritage sites Patan and Pashupatinath Temple.

This visit continues the tradition of judicial cooperation between India and Nepal, following the 2024 visit of former Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud, who traveled to Nepal at the invitation of then Chief Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha.

CJI Gavai is in Kathmandu on his first official visit to Nepal since assuming office.
