NHRC Issues Notice to Punjab Officials Over Infant’s Severed Head Found with Stray Dog in Patiala

The National Human Rights Commission, (NHRC) has issued notices to the Chief Secretary and the Senior Superintendent of Police, of Patiala over the reported incident that a stray dog was seen carrying the severed head of an infant near Government Rajindra Hospital.

Taking the suo moto cognizance of the media report, the commission has also sought a detailed report in the matter within two weeks. Media reports mentioned that poor sanitation, lack of security, and stray dogs roaming inside the hospital premises.
