PM Modi Inaugurates Semicon India 2025 at Yashobhoomi, NewDelhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated ‘Semicon India – 2025’ at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. This conference is being organized to promote a strong and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem in India.

On this occasion, Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave Vikram 32-bit processor and test chips of 4 approved projects to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a memento.

Vikram 32-bit processor is the first microprocessor completely made in India, which is suitable for use in the harsh environment of launch vehicles (satellite launch vehicles). This chip has been developed by ISRO’s Semiconductor Lab.

The three-day conference will include crucial discussions for the future growth of the semiconductor sector. ‘Semicon India – 2025’ will focus on semiconductor fabrics, advanced packaging, artificial intelligence, R&D, smart manufacturing and investment opportunities.

The conference will have sessions on the progress of the Semiconductor India program, infrastructure readiness, Design Linked Incentive Scheme, startup ecosystem, international collaborations and future roadmap for India’s semiconductor sector.
