India Defeats China 4-3 in Thrilling Asia Cup 2025 Opener

India defeated China 4-3 in a dramatic Pool A match at the Asia Cup 2025 in Rajgir, Bihar. Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh scored a hattrick despite missing a penalty stroke, while Jugraj Singh added one goal.

China, the underdogs, pushed hard, taking an early 1-0 lead and later leveling the score at 3-3 after trailing 3-1. Both teams had goals disallowed.

The win marks a perfect start for hosts India, who aim to secure their fourth Asia Cup title and direct qualification to the FIH Hockey World Cup.
