Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the need for Europe to clearly define security guarantees for Ukraine.
In a virtual meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki and the leaders of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Denmark, Zelenskyy stressed the importance of establishing a clear framework for security guarantees as part of efforts to secure a peace settlement with Russia.
He noted that Ukraine required a strong foundation for these guarantees, which U.S. President Donald Trump has agreed to and which have been under discussion for the past week.
Zelenskyy also expressed the belief that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin remains focused on continuing the conflict.
The virtual meeting, organised in Poland, took place following a Russian attack on Kyiv that killed over 20 people overnight.
