Yamuna crosses danger level, CWC issues flood warning

The Yamuna water level may touch the danger level today, according to a warning by the Central Water Commission on Tuesday evening.

When last report came at 9 PM, Tuesday the water level was at the danger level of 204.56 metres at the Old Railway Bridge. The same day at 9 AM the level was at 204.58 metres.

The warning statement by CWC said, “As the water level at ORB may cross the danger level, and is likely to reach 205.36 metres, all officers are hereby advised to keep vigil in their respective areas and take necessary action at vulnerable points, people residing within the river embankments, should be warned, and arrangements made to shift them to safer places.”
