Maha. Governor offers tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan, who has been nominated as a candidate for the office of the Vice President of India paid homage at the equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Udyan at Dadar by offering floral tributes on Tuesday.

The Governor also visited Chaityabhoomi, the memorial of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and offered garland to the architect of the Indian Constitution, as a mark of respect. Buddhist monks recited prayers on the occasion.

Later, the Governor visited the Swatantryaveer Savarkar National Memorial and paid his respects by offering floral tributes to the statue of Veer Savarkar.

Minister for Cultural Affairs and Information Technology Ashish Shelar and MLA Amit Satam welcomed the Governor.
