Today is the last day of the monsoon session of both houses of Parliament.

In the Upper House, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to move the motion for the reference of The Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025; The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2025; and The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2025 to the Joint Committee.

The motion further seeks to amend the Constitution of India and resolves that ten members of this House be nominated by the Deputy Chairman to serve on the said Joint Committee.

Meanwhile, the Lower House of Parliament will hold a special discussion on India’s first astronaut aboard the International Space Station and the critical role of the space programme for ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047’.
