Mumbai, the city continues to reel under the impact of relentless rainfall, causing widespread waterlogging across several areas.

Mainline train services between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Thane station have been suspended until further notice. However, shuttle services are operational between Thane and Karjat, Khopoli, and Kasara to maintain partial connectivity.

Train operations on the Harbour Line between Kurla and CSMT have also been suspended. Authorities have advised residents to avoid non-essential travel.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Mumbai and its suburban areas for very heavy rainfall on Tuesday. The city recorded around 150 mm of rain since early morning.

The Mithee river’s water level crossed 3.9 meters, prompting the relocation of around 350 people from the Kurla area.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is closely monitoring the situation.
