The Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the Parliamentary Committee meeting today, where, after extensive deliberations, it was decided to nominate C.P. Radhakrishnan, as the NDA’s candidate for the position of Vice President. Radhakrishnan right now is the Governor of Maharashtra.

He was born on 20 October, 1957, in Textile and Knitwear hub, Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu.

The full name of 68 years old, NDA’s Candidature is Chandrapuram Ponnusamy Radhakrishnan and is serving as the 24th Governor of Maharashtra since 31 July, 2024.

He was also served as the Governor of Jharkhand, Telangana, and Puducherry.

Radhakrishnan was the 7th President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Tamilnadu from 2004 to 2007.

He won the Lok Sabha Elections in 1998 from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu.

As a Sportsperson Radhakrishnan was a college champion in table tennis and a long-distance runner. He also enjoyed cricket and volleyball in his sports career.
