The national flag of India, the Tricolour, is primarily crafted by women at the Karnataka Khadi Gramodyog Samyukta Sangh (KKGSS) in Hubballi, in the state of Karnataka.

This unit is the only one authorized to manufacture and supply the Indian national flag.

A predominantly female workforce is involved in the process, from weaving the khadi cloth to stitching and printing the flag.
