The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) strongly condemned remarks reportedly made by the Pakistani Chief of Army Staff during his visit to the United States, labeling them as yet another instance of Pakistan’s habitual “nuclear sabre-rattling.”

In an official statement, the MEA said such comments demonstrate Pakistan’s irresponsibility and raise serious concerns about the integrity of its nuclear command and control systems. “The military in Pakistan continues to operate in close coordination with terrorist groups, further undermining its credibility,” the spokesperson said.

India also expressed disapproval over the comments being made from the territory of a “friendly third country,” referring to the U.S. Reiterating its firm stance, India stated that it would not succumb to nuclear blackmail and will take all necessary steps to safeguard its national security.
