Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the 19-km Yellow Line of Bengaluru’s Metro Phase-2 from RV Road to Bommasandra. The project, costing ₹7,160 crore, expands the city’s metro network to over 96 km.
PM Modi also took a metro ride to Electronic City. During the journey, he interacted with schoolchildren aboard the newly inaugurated metro line. Amid drumbeats and joyous chants, PM Modi waved at and interacted with people gathered at the metro station to greet him.
Earlier, the Prime Minister flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains—Bengaluru–Belagavi, Amritsar–Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, and Nagpur–Pune—boosting inter-city travel with faster and modern services at the Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Railway Station in Bengaluru.
The Prime Minister also interacted with schoolchildren aboard the Vande Bharat Express in Bengaluru.
The initiatives, strengthening India’s transport infrastructure, align with global urban mobility trends, fostering economic growth and connectivity while drawing international attention to India’s infrastructure ambitions.
