India’s Test captain Shubman Gill and all-rounders Ben Stokes and Wiaan Mulder have earned nominations for July’s ICC Men’s Player of the Month award.
Shubman Gill amassed 567 runs at an impeccable average of 94.50 in three of the five Tests played between India and England in July.
He played a leading role in India’s record-breaking win at Edgbaston, where he scored a monumental 269 in the first innings, followed by 161 in the second.
England’s captain Ben Stokes showcased his all-round brilliance in the high-pressure India versus England series as well.
He scored 251 runs at an average of 50.20 and took 12 wickets at an average of 26.33.
Wiaan Mulder delivered a record-breaking all-round performance in South Africa’s two-Test series against Zimbabwe.
He scored 531 runs across the two matches at an astonishing average of 265.50.
Mulder smashed an unbeaten 367, which is the highest individual score in South African Test history.
