Former Governor Satya Pal Malik passed away today at the age of 79 in Delhi after a prolonged illness. He died when was getting treatment at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
He remained the Governor of Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Meghalaya, and Odisha (Additional Charge). He was also a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from 1980-86 and 1986-89.
Born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, he pursued BSc and Bachelor of Laws from Meerut University. He was the National Vice-President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2012
