11 Killed, 4 Injured in Tragic Road Accident in UP’s Gonda

In a fatal road accident, in UP, at least 11 people lost their lives and four were injured in a road accident in Gonda this morning. According to police, a Bolero full of 15 devotees going to Prithvinath temple went out of control and fell into the canal near the Saryu canal bridge in Rehra village on the Parasarai Alaval Deoria road. Itiyathok police station in-charge KG Rao informed that 11 bodies have been recovered from the canal. Four people have been rescued safely.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow and announced 5 lakh rupees financial aid for each victim’s family. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media platform ‘X’ to express his condolences.

PM Wrote, ‘Deeply saddened by the loss of lives due to an accident in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the mishap. May the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of 2 lakh rupees from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000’
