The Indian Veteran Cricket Team has withdrawn from the Semi-Final match against Pakistan in the World Championships of Legends (WCL), which is being organized in England. The retired players refused to play amid tension between the two nuclear-armed neighbouring countries.

A group league match was also being called off earlier this month in the tournament. The tickets will be refunded to the respective spectators who had booked for the Thursday match at Birmingham, the organizers said.

Pakistan Veterans will automatically advance to the final, according to the officials.

Since 2013 India, Pakistan have not played any bilateral Cricket and are set to face each other at the Asia cup in September 2025.
