Tsunami Alerts have been issued by different agencies after a powerful 8.8 magnitude hit Russia’s eastern coast Kamchatka Peninsula on Wednesday. The quake struck 136 km east of the coastal city Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in Russia.

According to United States Geological Survey (USGS), the Geographic Location of the quake was 52.530°N 160.165°E and the Depth 20.7 km.

After the quake Japan’s Metrological issued a Tsunami alert advisory for its east coast, giving warning of 9.8 ft height waves.

Tsunami warnings also given to Taiwan, Philippines, Hawaii and Alaska’s Aleutian Islands in the US West coast.
