PM greets CRPF personnel & their families on Raising Day

As part of the 87th Raising Day of CRPF celebrations, a grand investiture ceremony was held at Shaurya, CRPF Officers’ Institute in New Delhi. Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan graced the occasion as Chief Guest and felicitated 27 gallant CRPF personnel.

He also presented gallantry medals to the family members of three martyrs honouring the bravehearts posthumously for their valour and supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

DG GP Singh congratulated all the awardees and their families, applauding their extraordinary courage, steadfast dedication, and supreme service to the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have also greeted CRPF personnel and their families on the Raising Day of the paramilitary Force.

In a social media post, Modi said, the force has played a vital role in country’s security apparatus, especially in challenging aspects relating to internal security.

He said, CRPF personnel have made a mark for their duty, courage and steadfast commitment in the most testing of situations. The Prime Minister called their contribution in overcoming humanitarian challenges commendable.
