India-UK Friendship Essential for Global Progress: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in London on an official visit to the United Kingdom from 23-24 July, 2025. This marks his fourth visit to the UK.

A large gathering of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) welcomed Prime Minister Modi warmly at the hotel premises, expressing their enthusiasm and support.

Prime Minister Modi on social media platform X, posted, “Landed in London. This visit will go a long way in advancing the economic partnership between our nations. The focus will be on furthering prosperity, growth and boosting job creation for our people. A strong India-UK friendship is essential for global progress.”

In a separate post, he added, “Touched by the warm welcome from the Indian community in the UK. Their affection and passion towards India’s progress is truly heartening.”

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to hold extensive discussions with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on various aspects of India-UK bilateral relations. They will also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi is expected to meet His Majesty King Charles III during the visit.
