International Maths Olympiad: India Bags Three Gold, Two Silver & One Bronze

Showing strong performance, the Indian team won 3 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal at the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2025 held at Sunshine Coast, Australia. The country ranked 7th out of 110 countries. In all 630 students participated in the event of which 69 were female.

This is the second time India won 3 Gold Medals at the IMO after 1998. Last year (2024) India created history by winning 4 Gold Medals at  the 65th IMO. Since 1989, India has won 23 Gold Medals of which 12 were won between 2019 and 2025 and 9 of them came in the last three IMOs (2023, 2024, 2025).

The details of performance of Team India:

Kanav Talwar (Delhi) : Gold medal

Aarav Gupta (Delhi) : Gold medal

Adhitya Mangudy (Maharashtra): Gold medal

Abel George Mathew (Karnataka): Silver medal

Aadish Jain (Delhi): Silver medal

Archit Manas (Delhi): Bronze Medal

The Indian Team will felicitated in a function at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai.
