Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Rishabh Yadav Set World Record in Archery World Cup

The Indian pair scored 1,431 points, surpassing the previous record of 1,429 points

India’s Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Rishabh Yadav have combined to set a world record in the mixed compound team qualification round at Archery World Cup Stage 4 in Madrid, Spain.

The Indian pair scored 1,431 points, surpassing the previous record of 1,429 points held by Denmark’s Tanja Gellenthien and Mathias Fullerton since the 2023 European Games.

Rishabh Yadav was in full flow, shooting an impressive 716 points in the men’s individual compound qualification round to top the stage.

Meanwhile, Vennam also shot a personal best on the international stage, scoring 715 points to top the women’s individual compound qualification round. The mixed compound team total is the combined individual scores of both archers.
