Operation Sindhu continues as the Government of India evacuated nationals from conflict-affected regions in Iran and Israel. On Sunday night, 285 Indian nationals arrived safely in New Delhi from Mashhad, Iran, bringing the total evacuees from Iran to 1,713.
Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita welcomed the returnees at the airport. The evacuees praised the government’s swift response, chanting “Hindustan Zindabad” in appreciation of the rescue efforts amid rising tensions in the region.
Simultaneously, 162 Indian nationals are being brought back from Israel, as the conflict between Iran and Israel intensifies. The Ministry of External Affairs has scheduled two to three more evacuation flights from Iran in the coming days to continue repatriation efforts.
The Indian Embassy in Tehran is assisting nationals by relocating them from hostile areas to safer zones within Iran. Citizens have been advised to maintain contact through the Embassy’s emergency helpline and the Ministry’s 24/7 control room in New Delhi.
India’s diplomatic commitment remains firm, ensuring no Indian is left behind, regardless of the challenges posed by conflict zones abroad.
