India bags 4 Medals, Ranks 3rd in Munich World Cup

India finished third at the recently concluded World Cup in Munich, Germany, one of the most prestigious and challenging tournaments on the International Shooting Sport Federation’s (ISSF) annual calendar.

China with 7 Medals got the top position followed by North Korea with 4 Medals.

The tournament marked India’s third top-three finish this year in four World Cups, with a total of two gold and two bronze medals. Rising women’s pistol star Suruchi Singh won an unprecedented third consecutive individual gold in the women’s 10m air pistol.

Another highlight was the victory of Arya Borse and Olympian Arjun Babuta over Chinese world record holders Sheng Lihao and Wang Zifei.

Meanwhile, two-time Olympian Elavenil Valarivan and world record holder Sift Kaur Samra further reinforced their status as world-class shooters with bronze-winning performances in Munich.
