India’s 36-member shooting team, set to compete at the ISSF World Cup in Munich

Nearly 700 shooters from around the world will vie for medals

A 36-member strong Indian shooting squad, led by Paris Olympic medallists Manu Bhaker, Sarabjot Singh, and Swapnil Kusale, is set to compete at the ISSF World Cup in Munich, Germany. The tournament runs from 8-15 June, featuring top global shooters.

Manu Bhaker will participate across multiple events including the individual 10-metre and 25-metre pistol, along with the 10-metre air-pistol mixed team event. The versatile shooter aims to add more laurels to her impressive career at the high-stakes competition.

Two-time Olympian Elavenil Valarivan is set to represent India in the women’s 10-metre air-rifle event, bringing experience and skill to the field. She aims to contend against the world’s elite shooters on the international stage in Munich.

Olympic bronze medallist Swapnil Kusale will compete in the 50-metre rifle 3-positions event, where he showcased his prowess last year. Kusale’s participation bolsters India’s chances of podium finishes in the precision-demanding discipline.

Sarabjot Singh, another Paris Games medallist, will focus solely on the 10-metre air-pistol event. His sharp shooting and calm under pressure make him a key contender in the pistol category at this prestigious World Cup.

The men’s and women’s 10-metre air-rifle competitions are scheduled for June 10, promising thrilling action. Nearly 700 shooters from around the world will vie for medals, underscoring the event’s status as a premier test of marksmanship.
