Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan held a joint call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. They updated him on the 4th India-Central Asia Dialogue held earlier in New Delhi, emphasizing strengthened regional cooperation.

Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed Central Asia as a key priority for India. He highlighted historic ties and outlined plans for boosting economic links, connectivity, defence collaboration, and cooperation in emerging sectors with the Central Asian nations.

Prime Minister Modi stressed that a strong India-Central Asia partnership is vital for addressing common regional and global challenges. He emphasized the importance of joint efforts to enhance security and foster sustainable development across the region.

The Central Asian ministers condemned the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, expressing solidarity with India’s fight against cross-border terrorism. Prime Minister Modi invited leaders from Central Asia to attend the Second India-Central Asia Summit in India.

On social media, Prime Minister Modi expressed satisfaction with the meeting and reiterated India’s commitment to deepening cooperation in trade, connectivity, energy, fintech, food security, and health for shared progress and security.
